The South Florida Daily Edit: Atlantic Avenue, Nora and Downtown Boca

October 27, 2026 | The South Florida Daily Edit | AgentBoca News Radar

This week’s radar connects three conversations I hear in a home search: where people want to spend time, which neighborhoods they want to explore and what is changing around them. Here are three developments to follow, with the announcement stage kept clear.

1. Empire Steak House announces a Delray Beach location

Empire Steak House said in an October 23 release that it is preparing a restaurant at 432 East Atlantic Avenue, the former CUT 432 location. The announcement says coming soon, rather than giving a confirmed opening date.

For buyers, this is a reason to explore the surrounding lifestyle. Walk your preferred routes and think about how often downtown dining would be part of your week. An announced restaurant is one detail in a neighborhood comparison; it is not evidence that a home’s value has changed.

Read the restaurant’s announcement.

2. Nora District offers a West Palm Beach stop

Nora’s official website describes a district along North Railroad Avenue bringing together dining, wellness, retail and hospitality. Use its directory and parking information when planning a visit, and check individual businesses for current hours.

Bring your own priorities to the outing. A café, fitness studio or regular meeting place may matter more to your daily routine than another item on an amenities list. Compare actual journeys from candidate homes rather than relying on a general promise of convenience.

Explore the official Nora directory.

3. A downtown Boca condo proposal advances in a planning report

An October 16 Boca Daily News report described planning-board action on revised Mr. C Residences plans, including fewer residences and a restaurant. At that reporting date, Community Redevelopment Agency approval was still required. This is not confirmation of the project’s subsequent approval or delivery status.

Buyers can use the report to request current project materials and compare the proposed residence with completed alternatives. Ask about the actual layout, services, parking and timetable for the unit under consideration.

Read the planning report.
